It may have been an addition to that charter, or it may derive from another diploma for Lockinge that does not survive ; Grundy, Berks., IV, pp. 114-15 ; PN Berks., i. 13, iii. 739, 742, lack of detail in survey suggests that it is earlier than the 10th century
